About

My Mission and Philosophy

My mission is to empower you to learn and understand how to channel your energy in ways that increase productivity and self-awareness. I provide evidence-based strategies with an accessible and engaging approach, so you have real tools to make real change.

My practice recognizes that therapy is NOT a “one size fits all” approach. Your story is unique and requires attention to the details that are important to you.  Together, we will create goals that allow you to be in the driver’s seat. Topics and priorities for your sessions will be guided by you and what your goals are for treatment. My job in our work together is to assist you in learning more about yourself and feel as comfortable as possible during sessions, be it in the office or by Telehealth.

My practice focuses on the following areas:

  • Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Anxiety
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • LGBTQIA+/Gender identity
  • Relationships and boundaries
  • Behavior issues
  • Life transitions

If you are experiencing something that is NOT on this list, I would still love to hear about it, and we can work together to find the best person to help you.

I love being part of the therapeutic process. Seeing change happen before my eyes is magical. It lights me up inside to hear stories from clients about their life-changing “a-ha!” moments! The feeling of knowing I have helped someone change their life makes me feel so proud and I am fortunate to do it everyday.

When I'm not in the therapist chair...

…you can find spending time with my family (I have a big one so this happens often), laughing until my gut hurts, traveling, petting all the dogs,  and baking. I was born and raised in St. Louis and I love everything about it: the Cardinals, Italian food, Ted Drewes, and yes, even the weather!

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Denver and completed my Master of Social Work degree at Washington University in St. Louis in 2011. I have worked in a variety of treatment settings across the St. Louis area including leading teen groups at an intensive outpatient treatment facility and doing community-based and in-home family therapy with clients in crisis.

FUN FACT:
After college, I moved across the world because I felt adrift and directionless. While living abroad and continuing my graduate studies at WashU, I discovered my passion for helping others. This is truly my dream job and I am grateful to do this work everyday.
