Before Your First Appointment

When we schedule your first appointment, you will receive an email with a link to sign up for your own personalized client portal. Please be sure to complete all of the forms in the client portal at least 48 hours prior to our first appointment. This will ensure that I can review your information and verify insurance benefits before your first visit. Please make sure to test the link for your telehealth appointment to make sure you are able to sign in at your scheduled time.

Therapy is one of the greatest investments you can make in yourself.
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless other arrangements are made in advance.

I accept the following insurance plans:

Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield
Cigna
United Healthcare /UMR/Optum

If you are utilizing your insurance, it is your responsibility to contact your provider prior to starting sessions to determine your benefits. Insurance companies require me to submit a diagnosis for treatment to justify medical necessity. I am happy to further discuss this with you if you have any questions.

Self-Pay

Session Fee: $125

If you would like to utilize Out-of-Network benefits, I am happy to provide you with a superbill (receipt) upon request so you can submit it for reimbursement by your insurance company.

During your first appointment, we will review some highlights from the paperwork you signed and then we will talk about YOUR STRENGTHS, YOUR STRUGGLES, and YOUR GOALS. It’s totally normal to feel uncomfortable or nervous during our first session, so I will do my best to make you as feel as comfortable as possible. Our relationship is the most important tool we have in helping you be successful, so we will work on building that from the start.

I am currently accepting new clients. I am available outside of sessions for NON-EMERGENCY communication, and I’m happy to communicate with you that way. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response if you contact me between sessions. If you have a mental health emergency between sessions, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

You are welcome to communicate with me via email or schedule time to talk with me on the phone. I find that it works best if parents email me PRIOR to sessions with the adolescent so I can be aware of any issues before our session. Confidentiality is extremely important when working with adolescents, therefore I will allow you to know WHAT we are working on (i.e. coping skills, communication skills, relationships, etc…), but NOT what was said in session. In case of an emergency, if I am alerted to any immediate threats of harm or danger, confidentiality will be broken with the child and you will be alerted ASAP.

 

If your child turns 18 while we are working together, they will become legally responsible for all things regarding their treatment. Parents are only allowed to be involved in matters regarding treatment when the client signs a legal release of information after age 18.

I accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, cash, check, and Venmo. I keep credit cards on file for your convenience and in the event of no-shows/cancellations. More information about payment is available in my intake paperwork.
